During the Summer of 2019, I worked as an Architectural Design Intern with the NewBuild Fleet Modernization team at Royal Caribbean Cruises LTD. in Miami, Florida. I worked alongside a team of 20+ designers, focusing on the revitalization projects of Oasis and Allure of the Seas.

Fleet Modernization

Collaborated with various team members in the coordination of the world’s largest cruise ship revitalization. Aided in the process of wrapping up Oasis of the Seas and the beginning phases of planning for Allure of the Seas.

Tasked with spacial planning, venue coordination, signage and organization of FF&E. Joined the Fleet Modernization team on ship surveys, understanding the fine details that needed to be assessed before the upcoming dry dock.

Accomplishments

Completed FF&E design packages for furniture and carpet on Oasis of the Seas. Worked alongside the Fleet Modernization team on various venue coordination tasks.

Crafted plans using AutoCAD for food and beverage venues, pool decks, and family-friendly spaces. Built spreadsheets and developed installation plans to showcase selected furniture and its proper locations on deck. Trusted to report the status of FF&E within weekly departmental check-ins.
